Brenna is nearly 9 months now, & I have a few concerns about her development. I see everyone's babies on here, that are 7-8 months & can already stand & crawl, etc. Brenna army crawls, but doesn't full on crawl on her hands & knees. She also can't stand by herself. She can put her weight on her legs, but she can't fully stand. I realize that all babies develop at their own pace, but I'm starting to get really worried. She has an appointment with the doctor next Tuesday, so I will definitely be bringing this up with him, but I wanted to get some of your opinions on here. Any responses & advice are greatly appreciated

I wouldn't worry hun! Syri didnt crawl properly till around about 8-8 1/2 months and as far as i'm aware thats normal and so is army crawling at 9 months. Syri literally went from army crawling to normal crawling in about 3 days. Babies just pick up things as it suits them!

:hugs:

I've found this chart you might find helpful;

(You can view the entire page, here.)

Kelsey, I wouldn't worry about Brenna. Every baby is different and will develop differently. :hugs:

Thanks guys! Shannon, that chart was SOOO helpful! Thanks a bunch! :flow:

Shannon that helped me loads too Michael isn't crawling either but there is loads on older age groups he is doing

Oooh yay, glad it helped! :D
I mean, nothing is exact and every baby is different but that's a general "guideline", I suppose? :hugs:

Quin didnt crawl or anything till 9 month, then took his 1st stepss at 10 -11 months so things can change pretty quick!

Aiden was the same way.

Mady was behind in a lot of things, but as soon as she decided she was ready to start trying, she just took off and never stopped. All kids develop differently and it's probably nothing to worry about. Plus, most kids who are behind in one skill have usually just be focusing on other ones.

J didn't even attempt crawling til 10 months.. fully crawling 10.5 months, 13 month doesn't stand by himself only holding on to things, yet can say quite a few words. I'm not worried or anything they do things in their own time.. so long as he can walk/talk when he starts school..

She's fine for where she's at hun :) don't worry.

Amelia didn't crawl properly until 10-10.5 months so I would worry hun :hugs: Every baby does things at different rates. I have a friend who's baby is the same age as Amelia and she started walking at 10 months but Amelia was ahead with her teeth and speech whereas my friends baby was behind and didn't get any teeth until much later.

Yup like everyone else said, 10 months is considered normal for crawling. She'll get there, don't worry :)

Kailee army crawled and bum shuffled until 13 months then she was walking, only after she started walking did she crawl "properly" once they find a good way to move sometimes they just dont bother wanting to do more, Kailee was a super fast army crawler lol

Just going to put this out there, some babies dont crawl they go straight to walking. i honestly wouldnt be to concerned.

Thanks everyone! On the list that Shannon posted. she's not crawling yet, but she has teeth & can say mama & dada, baba, etc. So that makes me feel loads better :D

Ahh don't worry she's just fine!

Teeth aren't a developmental milestone btw :p x

She's fine for her age! :)

Some kids don't actually crawl and just army crawl or even just walk! :D

I wouldnt worry, Riley didnt even sit up unaided until 9/10 months, didnt crawl and pull himself up until like 2 weeks before his first birthday!!

He is now 13 months and cruises, but still crawls between things and doesnt even really attempt to walk! :flow:
