DH results of sperm test - no sperm found! Help

Hi there, we have just had the results of my husbands sperm test and they have told us that there are no sperm, not dead, just none! He has to do re-test just to check nothing wrong with equipment etc. then get referrral to hospital.

I am so upset, I have wanted a baby with him for 6 years, waited for him to finally be ready and he then suddenly proposed after 9 years together and said yes he is ready for babies. and now after all this time, we have a problem - why was I taking the pill for all these years! He has an 18 year old son, who I love to bits, and have know since he was 8 and used to sit on my knee - now I'd have to sit on his he is so tall, but that is no where near the same as having my own little bundle. My DH is so keen too, its just he is 47, and I am 31, so for him time is not on our side!

I am sure there are many of you who have been where I am, but I just want to leave work and curl up in bed and cry!

So any positive help from you ladies will be so much appreciated,

Don't loose hope hun! If he already has a son then maybe a repeat test can change things. If he had sperm once then maybe their is a blockage or something. It would be worth going to a specialist (i think urologist) to get things checked out.

Hope its something simple and can be easily fixed.
