let me take a look at my husband so i can paste it here:)
the test results came with the guide for checking the results!!:)

Semen analysis

Semen volume
Normal:

1.0–6.5 milliliters (mL) per ejaculation
Abnormal:

An abnormally low or high semen volume is present, which may sometimes cause fertility problems.

Liquefaction time
Normal:

Less than 60 minutes
Abnormal:

An abnormally long liquefaction time is present, which may indicate an infection.

Sperm count
Normal:

20–150 million sperm per milliliter (mL)

0 sperm per milliliter if the man has had a vasectomy
Abnormal:

A very low sperm count is present, which may indicate infertility. However, a low sperm count does not always mean that a man cannot father a child. Men with sperm counts below 1 million have fathered children.

Sperm shape (morphology)
Normal:

At least 70% of the sperm have normal shape and structure.
Abnormal:

Sperm can be abnormal in several ways, such as having two heads or two tails, a short tail, a tiny head (pinhead), or a round (rather than oval) head. Abnormal sperm may be unable to move normally or to penetrate an egg. Some abnormal sperm are usually found in every normal semen sample. However, a high percentage of abnormal sperm may make it more difficult for a man to father a child.

Sperm movement (motility)
Normal:

At least 60% of the sperm show normal forward movement.

At least 8 million sperm per milliliter (mL) show normal forward movement.
Abnormal:

Sperm must be able to move forward (or "swim") through cervical mucus to reach an egg. A high percentage of sperm that cannot swim properly may impair a man's ability to father a child.

and this is some of my husband results ( the doctor told us all his tests results were fine...) the first numbers are his number and second ones are the standard range:example for the sperm count he has 109.3 millions ...standard range must be >20- millions m/ml

PH, SEMEN 8.0 >7.2-
INTERPRETATION SEE NOTE
SPERMATOZOA, RAPID % 40 >25- %
SPERMATOZOA, SLOW % 20 >50- %
SPERMATOZOA, NONPROGRESSIVE % 10 0-50 %
SPERMATOZOA, IMMOTILE % 30 0-50 %
LIQUEFACTION, SEMEN YES
APPEARANCE, SEMEN NORMAL NORMAL-
SPERM COUNT, SEMEN 109.3 >=20- M/mL
SPERMATOZOA, MORPHOLOGY 80 >=30- %Norml

hope that help you Holle:)

Thanks miel, they didn't give us a copy of results so i can't compare the exact details ill get DH to ask GP for a copy when he goes next hopefully they will give it to him.

its just all so confusing...

:hugs:

so weird how different country works!

Daniel went on a monday by the tuesday morning we got is result online ( we have a website with password etc where we can see all our doc visits , medical record , tests etc we can e mail our doc and they must reply with in 2 days ...they mostly do within a day.

when i did my tests progesterone , prolactin etc...i went a sunday a 10 am and by 5pm i had the results online!!!

shame you have to wait for yours :(

god that is brilliant, wish we could do that over here it would stop having to deal with snobby secretaries who think they are better than everyone else coz they work for a doctor!

Hey hollee - it sounds like count is 17million and motility is 5% - does that sound right? Might be worth ringing the GP to get the details in full.

WHO states that 'normal' is 20-99 million, motility should be 50%.

I can highly recommend getting your OH to take some vits if he isn't already - Maca x2, 1000mg of vit c, Wellman tablets - my DH had a very low count and motility and by his third SA things are starting to improve - who knows what next month will bring!!

Every 70-90 days sperm mature so give it 2-3 months inbetween SAs and you should definitely see improvement. Hope i'm not repeating everything you already know and if i am, sorry! xx

Thanks rachelle thats a great help, DH is already taking zinc but will def get other vitamins for him, he has a appointment with GP next week so hopefully will get more info then. he's also had his referral through for the 14th April for further tests so FX
