I've been having some diarrhea since yesterday and today I'm having some back aches and cramping on the sides of my stomach. The cramping was originally triggered during a bowel movement and goes away when I lay down but comes back when I move around too much or too quickly. Is this normal?? or is it something I should call my Dr about?

The diarrhea seems to have subsided a bit.

I'd say if you are worried always call, that's what they are there for! Try to increase your water intake as you will likely be getting a little dehydrated with diarrhea! And dehydration can most definitely lead to cramping!!

I second what pinkpassion said. Please call, it doesn't hurt to be informed!

Hi ladies,

Thank you! I called and they said as long as its not accompanied by a fever over 100.4, severe cramping, spotting/bleeding then everything is fine. I guess hydration is key!! I'll have a bottle of water by me all day today.
