TMI alert :winkwink:

Before now, I peed about once, maybe twice a day, and would have a... bowel movement every few days. That was my norm. Now? I'm peeing as usual... but I'm having very loose bowel movements 2, sometimes 3, 4 or 5, times a day. Mostly 3-4. Within 30 minutes of waking up, within 30 minutes of eating and sometimes in between.

Now, I am sick (woke up with a swollen left gland in my throat although it's gone down now) - absolutely full of the cold and I think it's going into my chest. The bowel movements have been going on for about 2 weeks though.

Is this normal?

My diet is already pretty high in fiber :\ Just feeling like I'm never out of the toilet... scared to leave the house because, when I need to go, I need to go now. Been 4 times today already and I haven't had dinner yet  :dohh:

I've had this too for the last week. Frequent loose stools, and lots of gas bubbling up in there. :( It's torture to sit through looong work meetings with this. I had a six hour (!) meeting on Friday, that also involved 1.5 hour car rides to and from it. It was AWFUL.

Sorry this is happening to you! I am thinking it's normal, but I'm also thinking that if it persists much longer, I'm going to look into what sort of meds I might be able to take to help.

Thank you! Glad that I'm not alone but sorry you're suffering too. It's been about 2 weeks for me... am at the doctor and the midwife on Thursday though so will bring it up!

In 1st tri, I had diahreea. :( I read its just another side effect of pregnancy, and its as common as morning sickness - but doesn't get nearly as much attention. lol

It followed me into 2nd tri, and even now I haven't had a "firm/hard" BM since getting pregnant. You could try to add more fiber. My doctor told me that bananas work wonders with firming it up.

I'm already like a monkey with bananas haha! In general, fibre makes up a good amount of my diet.. I had it in first tri too (and constipation) but nothing like this :nope: In a way, I hope it's normal because it means nothing wrong... but if it's normal, there's nothing more I can do :nope:

Baby will take what it needs from you so nothing to worry about too much just make sure your drinking lots hope your better soon as I have ibs I could not tell you if it is because of pregnancy as my ibs kind of has a mind of it's own xxx

Thank you. My mum is celiac, my sister has ulcerative colitis and my brother is being tested for that - always in the back of my mind!
