My best friend is due on the 16th of April, however, she's been told that her LO will probably come by then.

Talking to her the other day she says she's going to have it this weekend and that she has her enema all ready to go. She told me that during her other pregnancies her doctor recommended her to take an enema and it did start labour for her.

Has anyone actually done this? And did it work for you?

I didn't do it but I saw on TLC (on the show "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant") that a woman inserted a suppository to help with what she was told was a bowel obstruction and ended up having her baby in the washroom at home!!

oh my, that does'nt sound to good!!!

Dont think i would do it...

Everybody to their own i suppose...

I wouldn't do it either. However, as she says, here they give an enema when you are in the early stages of labour anyhow. LOL

We'll see if it works this weekend for her.

how is chase doing, not been on here for a while...

they give you an enema in the early stages of labour there?!?!

I guess the idea is just to get things moving...like they say that's why currys work. It's the 'emptying' that kick starts labour apparently. I wouldn't be getting one tho!

I wasn't given an enema  and my OB never mentioned it
