An online friend of mine that I've "known" for about 11 years now said he was sending a gift for my new baby girl. I just recieved it in the mail, and it was a Burberry outfit; dress, leggings and little shoes.
I've looked online and Burberry is unaffordable to me, very very pricey. Does this mean he actually went and spent this much? If so Im speechless...

Maybes...he could have also got it in the sales before Xmas?

Whatever, what a lovely friend you have x

Sounds silly but is it real? Some clothes do fab look a likes. If it isnt you have a lovely mate

well im not good with this stuff so im not positive its real, but it says burberry on the tags and looks legit, and came in a white gift box that has a white version of that famous buberry plaid on it... i think its real. im just so surprised and dont know what to say. i didnt know he had that kind of money...

this is the one dress shes not allowed to vomit on :haha:

That's really nice of your friend :)
It can be really hard accepting things that you can't afford to buy yourself. I've had to get used to this as my sil is loaded and spoils my two. If she ever had children we'd never be able to afford to spend the same amount on her's.

My sister is like this and it usually leaves me red faced. I just make sure to thank her profusely as rejecting a gift is a big no no.

Exactly, thats how I feel; slightly guilt that he would spend that amount on my daughter when I could never afford to myself. lol. I agree with another poster that rejecting a gift is pretty offensive, I'd never do that. I guess I just dont know HOW to thank in this case, somehow saying "cute outfit, thanks" doesnt seem adequate. lol

Would send him something nice in return if it was me personally. Obviously with females its flowers, don't know what you would send a bloke!

Agree with Dickybird...I'd be looking at something as a return too :D

Lovely friend!!

Couldn't you dress her in it and take a nice photo and send it to him on a card and thank him that way xx

Aw how lovely of him. I would just send him a thank you card I'm sure he'd be happy with that.

Awww this. Thats such a wonderful idea. I'm sure he'd love it.

He could have gotten it off eBay, sales etc but however way he bought it, what a very thoughtful gift :)

Im sure she'll look beautiful in it, and I bet he would appreciated a nice picture of her in it.

What a lovely friend you have :)
I agree with the suggestion to send a card and photo as a thank you

aww, what a lovely friend you've got there! :D I agree with the other ladies, send a thank you card & a photo, I'm sure he'd appreciate that.

does he send you stuff often? if he doesn't do it often he thought he'd spoil her x
