Did you know you were pregnant right after you conceived?

Hi I am randomly popping in here to hopefully get some experience from the mama's who "knew" right after they conceived. My youngest turned one 3 weeks ago but I think I got brainwashed and dont remember much from the pregnancy experience, except that I conceived him on one try.

Anyway, my dh and I BD 3 days ago. Prior to that, I didnt have any ovulation symptoms (usually I get mild cramping especially on right side to indicate when I am ovulating). Yesterday, I had the menstrual cramping and today I am having the right pelvic pain, so I am guessing I am ovulating unless it is something else.

Can you tell me if you had any unusual experiences that were different from what you normally get around af? How did you know you caught that eggy after you conceived? I consider myself very fertile, since I conceived easily both times and afraid I might be pregnant again since we dtd 3 days ago which is within the time frame that the sperm can still attach to the egg? I will be testing on the 10th or a few days after but would love to hear stories. Thanks

With DS I knew about 9 dpo (about 4 days before I got bfp). I felt a sharp pain at the front, below my belly button) and the breast pain I usually get that subsides about 3 days before AF just kept going. I was dizzy too.

This time, nada. I didn't have a clue, thought we'd completely missed it because we bd after I had my usual ov pains!

Once I realised AF wasn't showing the day she was due, I took a test and it was very light. It got darker a few days later.

When I think back, I did have light cramp two days before AF was due so maybe implanted late. But it was so mild, nothing like the very sharp pains i got before BFP with my DS.

Whatever happens, good luck xx

Not at all. We only had sex once the entire MONTH, we were NTNP so I wasn't sure if I was anywhere near ovulating and I felt like af was on her way the whole week before I was due but when af didn't show I took a test and BFP.

Was totally shocked..

I knew at about 10 DPO due to several weird things happening to me (yellowish creamy cm, can't decide whether I'm hungry or full, and disrupted sleep patterns which is very out of the ordinary for me). I secretly tested at about 11DPO which yielded a very standard positive.
Finally did another test with a strong positive on 13DPO and showed it to H. He thought I was crazy to test before my period was due, but I just knew! I couldn't "feel" conception though.

Looking back now, I definitely had signs but just talked myself out of it. I was very crampy and irritable. Backache too, it was kinda like af pains but it started a couple days after i ovulated. my breasts were also full and hard too, not painful though like they normally are. It was just different but since it was like af I talked myself out of it and thought af was coming super early.

Yes, I kept saying to OH that I thought I was pregnant, despite negative tests. I got my positive a week after AF was due, though I have irregular periods so cant really state DPO lol.

No. I was honestly shocked. I wouldn't let myself believe I could be pregnant this cycle, even though I secretly hoped... and got a shock today!

I don't remember which day in my cycle it was, but all 4 times I've been pregnant I caught myself with my hand on my stomach. It was subconscious and when I realized I'm doing it I have to restrain myself from doing it again, especially if I'm at work. I've gotten a bfp about a week later each time.

Thanks ladies for your responses. I am having this crampy way down low in my pelvis, which is odd for me. Been going on for for 3 days now.

Nothing with DS #1 but I was in denial for quite some time (I was 18.) With this one, I had a feeling around 7 dpo. I have a tipped uterus and when DH and I would DTD I felt some weird pressure, almost like a balloon being pushed toward my abdomen. Then I had a huge increase in watery CM around 9 dpo.

I didn't know at all. For a couple days before AF was due, I got lots of weird tingling in my nipples, and they'd randomly pop up all the time, but I just chalked it up to being a particularly cold spring. We weren't even trying that month. The day AF was due, DH and I were actually trying to decide what day to start making our next batch of wine, and he said "why don't you go test because I don't want to start this batch if you can't drink it!" I told him I wasn't pregnant, I guarantee it, but I went and tested anyway...and of course that's when we got our bfp.

Congrats on all of your pregnancies.

I keep getting menstrual cramping, but its only been 4 days since we dtd. Way too soon to be having any symptoms. Also earlier today I had very thick, sticky, and cream colored discharge that looked like snot (sorry tmi) which didnt happent the other months. Guess I should start taking pre natals just for the sake of it.

I totally knew. I didn't have any blaring symptoms, other than mothers intuition ;) I tested at 7dpo and BFP!

I did with my first two pregnancies. I hadn't a clue with the last two!

No but I knew about 5dpo when I developed a cold out of no where in the middle of summer. Part of me thought it was likely because it was the ONE CYCLE I would have rather it happened the next cycle due to the due date. But I am so happy it worked out anyways :)

I can't believe I'm about to post this but I've been feeling weird (constipated, today nauseous, etc). 9days post ovulation and I got the lightest, lightest positive on a FRER this afternoon. This was the same way I felt when I was early pregnant with our daughter.

I knew at 1dpo I got dry mouth straight away people say you can't know till implantation but my gp says as soon as the egg is fertilised it gives off a hormone it's possible some women know by sensing that a lot of studies are being done into it :)

I said I was -3 months pregnant, three months before I conceived this baby. Haha. I knew it was going to happen, counted down, and knew right when I ovulated (I have pcos and don't ovulate regularly) and knew when I conceived, that I was right that whole time. I knew the day my third baby was conceived, too, but I didn't predict it months ahead of time. I just felt pregnant right away with both of them. I did weird things like guard my belly as soon as I ovulated, and a few days later, my protective Boxer pup wouldn't leave my side and wouldn't ever let me be alone. I think you can know right away. My mom swears she knew right away when I was conceived, too. I was her second successful pregnancy.
