Did your baby sit unassisted before crawling?

Sitting unassisted - yes for both. Being able to sit up straight from lying flat - no. My second can, but my eldest didn't master that until after he began cruising. He would get himself up on two feet through rolling and pulling himself up then sit down on his bottom

Leo is inching his way forward but not quite crawling yet. He is also half way to pushing himself into a seated position. I don't think Violet was working on that skill at all until after she was able to crawl!
