So, the facts:
- Natural oxytocin makes you feel happy
- Synthetic oxytocin is used in induction
- When my induction started, I felt happy; not just naturally happy, but definitely drug induced - it was too sudden and too extreme to be natural. I get something similar if I take Nurofen Plus (especially combined with a caffeinated drink) so it's a feeling I recognise.
Do I get a buzz from being induced? Am I the only one? If not, why isn't it more widely documented?
(I also had an epidural and an insulin drip but I'm guessing it would have been the oxytocin that affected me as that's what it does naturally anyway)
