Discharge changing colour (TMI)

Is this normal?

Over the last few days I've had an increase in discharge, which I told the midwife about and she said was normal and a good sign. Today however it seems to have changed colour and now has a brownish tinge to it. Is this normal or should I be worried?

I've also been experiencing a few back pains with it. The discharge reminds me a bit of what I used to get when I'd finished my period.

Could this be a sign?
