Friday I had brown discharge ONLY when I would wipe. Saturday I had 2 spots of dark brown on my pad and decided to use a tampon just incase. In 10 hours I only filled 2/3 of the tampon and it was brown, stringy, sticky with some light red coloration. Now today (Sunday) I had a heavy flow of dark red, brown, and even black spots and possible blood clots and the tampon was leaking after 3 hours (normally I change my tampons for my period every 3-4 hours to keep it from leaking at all) so then I replaced that tampon and I checked this one after 3 hours and it was only half filled with brown, some dark red, and black blood clots or blood. Tonight now I have a pad on and am gonna see if it's only a tampon absorption or if I'm actually discharging all of this colorations. I have had strong cramps that move from different places with in my stomach and lower abdomen/abdominal area (normally during a period my cramping is in my hips moving down my legs, never in my lower abdominal or stomach area). Could in any way this be some kind of implantation bleeding just "trying" to replicate my period? I only ask because the internet has to many answers and contradict each other's information. Also my periods are never light, nor do they start out light. They are always heavy from day one and only the first day do I have Brown coloration and never is there black coloring in the mix plus I'm on day 2 technically and it's already lightening up and my normal periods usually last 7+ days (just to give you some more insight on how my body works during that "special" time of the month haha.

Hard to say without knowing where you are in your cycle. I've heard of women bleeding like that and still being pregnant, but I also know-- from personal experience-- that periods can just be weird like that sometimes. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of words of comfort because it's a continual source of frustration for me (when it's brown & barely there, I never know if/when to consider it a new cycle).

When is your expected period due? If it's now, you could try testing just in case. If you were pregnant, this would be a good time to test.
