Another holiday question.. sorry haha thinking ahead but thinking if it's possible and thinking to save now whilst still pregnant..

Disneyland/Disneyworld?

I know it's every child's dream for Disneyland/Disneyworld trips but when I was 4/5 I knew all the characters and saw the 'original' first Toy Story and unless parents buy the Toy Story Box set if I was 5/6 I wouldn't understand the storyline and the background etc of the characters! I know children at that age don't do storylines etc and just like the characters but just understand when parents dress their children in 'Rolling Stones', 'Guns 'n' Roses' tops etc!

Anyway back to the hoilday thing.. I went to Disneyland Paris for my 9th birthday and really enjoyed it and even though OH is very whats the word 'worried' about taking peanut away at any age abroad to any country. I'd love to fill my dream with going to Disneyworld when peanut is older enough.

Has anyone been with LO's? At what age did you go? How much was the whole hoilday?

Sorry for all the questions just want to see if me & OH could do it and start saving it now etc :)

I dont really understand the first bit of your post but I plan on taking amelie and bump in maybe 4 or 5 years. I'll take them to paris one in a couple of years i think (not next year but 2013).

We went to disney in Orlando back in April this year with lo for 2 weeks when he was 13months at the time. It had always been my dream to go and we decided to do it while lo was still free to fly and free accom and free entry into the parks. I know he won't remember the trip, but we still had a great holiday, took plenty of photos to show him when he is older. I was also surprised at how many rides he was allowed to go on, i didnt feel like we were missing much travelling with a toddler. Not sure we would be able to afford a holiday like that with multiple children in the future, paying full costs for them. We did a virgin package holiday (think paying £3000 for flights, 2 weeks car hire & accom & a 14 day pass into all Disney parks). Then paid extra for meals ect.

We went to Orlando in April this year when Dec was 3.5 years. He loved it and cant wait to go back again next year. I think the reason he enjoyed it so much was because we didnt stay in a park, we stayed on I-Drive so we went to all different parks not just Disney, I will be honest and say both my boys preferred Universal studios to Disney.

We paid £2600 (round about cant remember exact number) for flights and hotels and then another £1000 for park tickets, then we spent about £1000 on food and drink and extra little bits, we didnt hire a car we used the I-Trolley. So I would say the whole holiday including food and drink was about £4000-£5000. But well worth it, plus remember April is off peak so it would be cheaper, we are planning to go next Oct and the price for Hotel and flights is about £3400 because Halloween is peak season :)
