... has anyone been? where did you stay? would you recommend it? :flower: x

I haven't hun, but I hope someone can help you out.

If only I had seen this yesterday my next door goes although with the schooll since shes a teacher but would of been able to find stuff out will ask her when shes back on sunday

I've been. It's good, but take your own food. Or get the train to the next town and go to the supermarket.

It's £10 for a cheese and ham croissant in Disney land. No kidding.

And dont think you can steal bread rolls from the breakfast buffet. They bag search.

I have been 3 times in the past 4 years :haha: I love it, we are going to America, Florida next year!

Anyway I have stayed at 3 different hotels in the Disney resort:

*Cheyenne, one of the cheaper resorts but nice and clean and comfortable enough, does not have a swimming pool and the breakfast is continental, no hot breakfast.

*Newport Bay Club, a more upmarket than the Cheyenne, also has continental and does have a lovely swimming pool. The room we had however was in need of a update and for the money I do not recommend this hotel.

*Hotel New York, this hotel is fabulous, I loved it here, the rooms were really clean and nice (our room looked over the lake in the middle). Has continental and hot cooked breakfast. Has a lovely swimming pool, gym, etc. And you get as part of the package a character breakfast in the Disney Village which was really good, apart from the fact that Evan was terrified of the big characters and cried everytime one came near him lol!!

Stargazer is right though, as it is literally in the middle of nowhere the prices in the parks themselves and the Disney Village where all the restaurants are, are really expensive. During the day we tended to come out of the park and head to McDonald's for lunch, or a deli for subs as they were slightly cheaper than inside the parks. But be prepared for the high prices.

Hope this helps and if you have any other questions just ask, I am happy to help!!

We went but we didnt stay in the hotels there, we did a Eurocamp holiday.
It was lovely.
We ate out alot but not in the resort as its sooooo expensive....so do take your own food/drinks!
We pre-ordered the Disney tickets and spent 2 days out of the week at Disney.
In a few yrs when Aymens a little more aware, we're definately gonna take him - I LOVED IT :haha:

I stayed in Hotel Cheyenne and would not recommend it, the park itself is fantastic.

thanks for the replies everyone :)

I was originally thinking of going to the Sequoia Lodge but its got shocking reviews on Tripadvisor :(

I also looked at the Hotel New York but most of the reviews seem to be saying the same thing no matter which hotel you choose.... very shabby/in need of updating/MEGA expensive for what you get/staff unhelpful or even rude/not worth the money at all :(

my LO is 15 months old so any holiday would need to be based around her & I wouldn't wanna fly any further than a couple of hours so thought Euro Disney would be brilliant for her

im gutted coz I thought we could go for a few days & even tho it would be expensive that would mean it would be awesome iygwim?

I could really do with a bit of awesomeness in my life right now *sigh* xx

In all honesty, we had a better time at legoland. More rides for little ones and no queues if you go in term time.

We stayed at the Sequoia Lodge at the end of May, and we loved it. People are far more likely to go on to review sites when they are disatisified than when they are happy, I always do reviews to complain but never when I love the place (like I didnt bother doing the Sequoia) :dohh::haha:

Yes, so take reviews with a pinch of salt (although listen to my review :haha:).

Seriously we loved the time we spent there, the parks were amazing and I didnt think the food was expensive.

I hope smokey sees this, they go every year and smokeys love for the place cant fail to get you excited

We go nearly every year for the last 12 years, its our thing :) we are taking LO for his first trip in November for the christmas season.
I realy reccomend cheyanne hotel, its one of the cheaper ones but you wouldnt know it, its very nicely decorated with cowboy stuff.
ill gladly answer any questions you have as we are a bit of addicts when it comes to disney paris :)

Haha they dont take them off you :) I often took rolls and yoghurts from the breakfast and never once had anyone even say anything about it.

Going to the next train stop is a good idea though or just outside the ground a few minutes walk past santa fa hotal there is a perol station thats normaly quite good for getting food at.

while one or two rooms could do with a little relick of paint they realy arnt that bad and I can honestly say in our 12 years of visiting and staying in 5 different hotels there we have never come across a rude, unhelpfell member of staff.
Every one of them was polite, helpfull, friendly and lovely (other guests where a different matter)
There is a much cheaper way you can go about it that my old boss used to do and that is to stay in one of the hotels on the metro line that has nothing to do with disney (basicly like our travle lodge sort of thing) and get the train in each day, its normaly about 4,5 stops about 20-30 mins traveling on the metro (the train is quite dirty and runs like clockwork) and you can get off ebay tickets to the park such as annual ones that still have a few days left on them.
My old boss used to get family tickets off ebay and stay in the outer hotels and do it for a fair few hundred pounds cheaper (this was a guy that would haggle with his grandmother over a penny)
You can also prebook meal vouchers that makes eating there alot cheaper but they are restricted to a fixed menue or you can go to the local shop and get yourself sanwiches and picnic stuff to bring in for alot cheaper.

bit exagerated ^^^ its nothing like that i went to disneyland and it was fantastic - the food is reasonably priced imo and its really nice - certain places are more expensive but overall i thought the foos was great

Keeping an eye on this thread :) I hope to take LO once she's a little older :)

We love it!! I've been 8 times :)

Have stayed at Davy Crockett, Sequoia, Cheyenne and Disneyland hotels. My favourite..all of them for different reasons.

Davy Crockett - the pool and surroundings are lovely.

Sequoia (we have a Montana room and a great view)- fab bar and just a lovely feel to it.

Cheyenne - love love love the themeing and the walk to and from the parks (sans buggy!)

Disneyland - magical

We're heading back for the year of my 30th and hoping to do Castle Club at the Disneyland Hotel, ammm verry excited right now!

Since the Euro became 1 to 1, it's no longer cheap but it used to be pretty good value :) I can't wait to take Molly.

Hi we are going in November. And we are staying in the Cheyenne hotel. It will be our first time and im so excited. We got a really good deal if you pre book now you get 25% off and children under 7 stay and play for free xx
