When we broke up, FOB promised he would always be there for LO, promised he was his top priority. His access agreement was entirely on his terms - he picked the days he would have him and it was his choice to pick him up after his morning nap (around 11:30) and not earlier. I let him pick because I anticipated all this agro..
Today he texts me and asks to have LO earlier tomorrow. I asked what time, assuming he wanted to take him out somewhere for the day, by the time he gets him it's around lunch time and half the day's gone. But no, the reply was, "As long as I can bring him back by 2, I don't care."
He's going down south to see his new girlfriend. Am I the only one who thinks he's bang out of order, totally selfish and completely infuriating?! I tend to play along with what he wants because I refuse to be the awkward, controlling ex but surely he's taking the piss here? It's entirely his arrangement and it's only been in place two weeks and he's screwing it about already?
I love spending time with my son, he's the best thing in my life and if I had the chance of a couple extra hours with him, I'd take them over anything else in the world. Why can't he see what he's missing? I know LO's too young to understand, he's only 6 months but is this a pattern for the rest of his life? My dad did that to me, I'll be damned if he's doing it to my son! Argh he makes me sooo angry!
PS. I know this isn't the first time he's done this, but I haven't told him that because it was before I found out about her. Just incase anyone thought I was over-reacting.
