Thanks for posting that, I never thought of making them from socks! Do you just use normal adult knee socks or children's ones? I have loads of pairs of bright stripey knee socks that I could use but not sure if they'd be too big?

ooh gonna have a play later !!!! we knitted ours and they are soo cute but too small now

for up to 6months use women's ankle socks, for 6months+ use women's knee socks, ive even bought childrens tights (age7ish) cos i couldnt find knee high socks in the right colour, you just cut them off in the same way but it means you have to do two hems not just the one

this could be the best ever way to use old socks that have worn out on the heel!
