Do employers keep a record of your employee number?

I'm currently trying to fill out my Maternity Allowance claim form..

But when I was filling out details of a previous employer it requests the 'payroll, employee, clocks or work' number.

I worked there for a year but left a year ago and don't have anything with it written on. If I visit my employer will they have the details kept somewhere? :/

I'd think they have records somewhere, Have you not even got an old pay slip? Info should be on there.

i wouldnt worry about tbh, many employees dont have an identifying 'number'

it wont affect the process of your MA claim
