I'm having a love/hate relationship with cloth nappies at the moment... I've spent a fortune on various different brands trying to find a nappy to suit my baby who is a heavy wetter and has a normal waist but huge fat thighs!

His BTP nappies (Tots bots easyfits/ Blueberries) were all much too tight around the thighs and therefore too small at just 4 months old (I'm waiting for him to slim down when he gets active to try them on again).

I bought him Magic-alls nappies in large as I'd been recommended that they were better for chunky thighs but lately I've found that they eat into his poor luscious chub and leave horrible red marks. I my desperation to give his poor leggies a break I've been putting Disana tie ons on him today but due to his peeing prowess I've had to change them about every hour...

I'm desperate to find some reliable nappies that allow room for his whopper legs while still being absorbant and comfortable. Can you think of any that might fit the bill?

My chubby thighed, mahoosively heavy wetter lives in BG organic AIOs. They are the only nappy that works 100% for us :) xx

My son has BIG tights and he is a very chunky 4 month old. 20lbs at the moment!
I have found FuzziBunz OS work great for him because of the many settings you can change. Any other diapers we had issues with the elastic leaving horrible marks.
Hope u find the one that works for your DS

Have you tried any side snap nappies? Instead of just having poppers at the waist, they have one at the thigh and one at the waist so you can adjust them independently. The nappy can look funny if you do up the poppers like that when it's not on baby but they look fine once one and give a great fit.

My Chunky monkey is in Tots bots fluffles, they do up with nappy nippas, so you're not restricted to poppers. They're a little bulky, but they hold the massive pees in! Only problem I had was finding outers that fit! Good luck

Fuzzi bunz as they have 2 poppers- one for the waist and one for the legs. I prefer sized to the onesize.

I would suggest the Fuzzibunz too...they have adjustable leg elastic like maternity jeans and baby trousers with the elastic and buttons so you can change the setting a whole bunch.

Chloe has a tiny waist (usually fits the on the smallest snaps without crossing over in a OS) but her thighs are chunky and get red marks if in a normal OS nappy, but the Charlie Banana, which are like the fuzzis are great. they have the leg elastic in them and the nappy itself is lovely, especially the prints!!

Or as Rach said, side snaps, we get on great with side snap pocket Wee notions xx

My Lo had chunky thighs until he started crawling and we found either bg v3s or side snap nappies.

Thirsties Duo covers and prefolds work great for us! My baby has some thunder thighs! She was 10lbs 11oz at birth, and because of the gussets, they were really the only ones that fit without leaving red marks.

What kind of measurements are we talking? I'm having a similar problem although flips are still holding up strong and have 1 popper left on the leg size. I've heard fuzzi bunz are good as well so I've just bought one pre loved to give that a try.

Definitely try ones with poppers though as you can do the waist up tighter and the legs looser.

I find a lot of nappies say a weight on their guidelines, but don't give legs measurements. Not very helpful for those who are challenged in the chubby thigh area :haha:

Have you tried fitteds or flat nappies with fleece or wool over the top? I often find that it's the wrap that digs in my LO's legs and leaves marks but wool and fleece don't do that as they're stretchy, and you can get them custom made anyway.
