Do you bleed straight after ELCS?

I went into labour with my daughter and got to 8cm before i had my emcs and i cannot remember a thing because of the amount of drugs i was on, so i cant remember if i bled straight away or not
When you have an elcs do you bleed straight away or does the mucous plug still have to come out first? i'm so confused, and it's only now that i've started to wonder

Hi there, I had an emcs and I bled straight away. I'd take maternity pads with you, my bleeding has only just stopped 5 weeks after xx

Yup straght away hun I got to 4cms n had a ecs too

Yup! I've had an emergency and elective section. Both times bled right away. In fact with Sophie they changed my pad in recovery as I gushed a bit of blood.

yeah bleeding starts straight away, im now 3 weeks After my Emergency section, im still bleeding, take a few packs of maternity towels with u, i went thru a full 12 pack in the first day.. I wouldnt take pads like 'always Maxi' (i used them after my MAt twels ran out & personally they done nothing, & i soaked right thru them)!

Yes - you will have like a blood loss straight after the section
