I know EXACTLY what I will be doing if it is a boy. I have no ideas if it's a girl.
We're a non- everything pink family so DD bedroom is bright primary colours with butterflies also in bright primary colours.

I have no inspiration for another girls room though.

I am hoping It is a boy as we also have a boys name chosen already too.

What's the liklihood it will be a girl though given we're so clueless of ideas etc!

We only have a two bed house and I have a daughter. Her actual room is neutral bit I have pink accessories, with lime green here and there. I love it, it's very girly and I like girly. If this one is a boy I'll be a bit stumped though as don't want to change her room. I'm
Hoping we can move by the time this one goes into it's own room then fingers crossed it can have it's own room but we shall see. It'd be lovely to have a nursery to decorate, I'd probably have most of it set up already lol

Our sons room is so boyish lol he loves cars and has a big lightning McQueen bed and his whole room is cars theme. For the next baby we are having a girl and the room was a very neutral color so we just painted 1 wall a light pink where the crib will be. I am doing a cartoon owl theme so all her bedding is owls and I found cute owl wall decor, lamp etc!

For our little boy we've painted the nursery grey with white stripes. It looks soooo cute!

I want to paint, but probably won't. But I'm think decals, and using furniture and decor to add splashes of color. We don't know the sex yet so my ideas for now are pretty neutral. Also we already have espresso colored pieces in the extra room, so we'll be getting a 4 in 1 for the crib.

We're not finding out the gender, and have painted the nursery a bright yellow on the lower half and a pale yellow on the upper half of the walls. I'm scouring the internet looking for a nice border or stencil that's predominantly elephants, haven't found 'the one' yet though :haha:

I think we'll keep everything fairly plain and simple and just use accessories to liven it up. I don't want it too 'busy' as the walls are quite bright as it is.

I think the furniture is going to be a mix of pine and white, and textiles will be cream/lemon. As long as I can find the right bits and pieces there will be a bit of an elephant theme going on  I've always loved elephants, and most of LO's clothes so far have elephants on.

Yes , we're having a girl and after 3 boys it's nice to decorate for girls :)
My mil is brill at making things and it's doing my curtains and blankets bad bunton for me , it's all in a very small vintage style flower . Beautiful .

The walls will be white tho with a big decal name and design above her cot .
Was gonna get a canopy above her cot but I'm scared they may be dangorous

See we did 'neutral' for DD as we were in rented and so couldn't decorate.

When we bought our house I completely decorated and I liked it was so 'not baby' so should last a while. All just white walls but then with coloured butterfly decals and IKEA bright striped/rainbow duvet and curtains which are the same colours as the butterflies.

If it's a boy I'm doing sea/beach/sailing type theme. Hoping to find out sex week before we go on holiday so I've scheduled a trip into Padstow as there's so many nic-nah shops to pick up such themed decor/items. But if it's a girl then might be struggling to find the little bits on holiday.

I think I will just be sticking with white walls and decals (which DD has) if it is a girl. Then it's only the soft furnishing that 'make' the room so can change quite easily.

Already planned both rooms furniture layout wise for the next 5 years or so! Lol

if it's a girl, grey walls with the Joules Mad Hatter range.
if it's a boy, I'd love an "under the sea" but finding it hard to find stuff that's not too cutesy. I'd like it to last a good few years x

Jealous you're going to Cornwall! I tried persuading OH to go Cornwall again but he's having none of it as we've been there for the past 2 years.
We went when I was pregnant with LO, I bought a tonne of baby surf style clothes in Newquay :)
Enjoy!

Yeah family own holiday house down there so it's a common visit (and free for us) and has been used for holidays for generations

If we have another boy, he will go into our already done up sons room, which is a sports themed room, and moving my son into a mickey mouse themed room.

If we have a girl, her walls will be purple with white butterfly decals with white accents (besides furniture, since she will use my sons dark colored furniture) around the room.

I've had the same nursery idea in my head for the longest. We ARE finding out the sex but I still wanna go really gender neutral. Lots of bright, happy colors with an underlying carnival theme.
