We are ttc #2 and I'm just daydreaming about names. These are the ones I like but wanted to see what you all thought? We already have a DS named Taj Henry

For a girl - Ava Winter or Layla May? Last name Richardson
And do you like the name Ari John for a boy? (pronounced Ah-ree)

I LOVE Layla May--super cute!! Ava Winter is pretty, but a little hard to say along with your last name (maybe the "r" sound ending Winter right next to beginning Richardson?

I think Ari John is cute and goes really well with Taj Henry!!

Thank you Soblessed...how about Ava May if you don't think the 'Winter Richardson' goes together?

I love Ava May even more than Layla May! And just FYI, I am from the southern US--Winter Richardson may just be hard to say with my accent lol.

Thank you! I think I love Ava May better too. I'm not even pregnant and I'm naming my unborn child which may be a boy yet! haha..
I see what you mean about the accent though - I'm in Australia so when we say Winter it sounds more like Winta :haha:

Never hurts to plan ahead!! : ) We had names picked out before we ever even started TTC--ended up using completely different names, though! ; )

With your accent, Winter would probably work perfectly--here it would kind of drawl out into "Wintur" lol.

That's very true - I am definitely a planner by nature..don't like leaving things to the last minute.

This is our first month ttc so wish me luck for a bfp soon xx

I love all three of those names, I can't even pick a favourite out of the girls names because they are both gorgeous!

I vote for Layla May Richardson!!

With "Ava" (where I live anyway), it's always a 50/50 chance that I'll pronounce the name wrong. Some girls here go by "Ey-vah" some go by "Av-ah". Can get confusing because both are correct pronunciations.

I was going to suggest Ava may!

It's ok I started thinking if sibling names that go with Dominic a few days after we named him 😂

Haha I was the same ^

I agree Ava Winter Richardson doesn't seem to flow so well.
Ava May and Layla May are both beautiful and I LOVE Ari! I think Ava or Ari work best with Taj x

Thanks for your input everyone! I'm thinking I like Ava May the most and well Ari John is just perfect in my opinion!

Stiletto - where do you live? I've honestly never heard Ava pronounced Av-ah but maybe that's just because I don't actually know or have met any Ava's. I've only heard it pronounced Ay-vah. I'm in Australia if that helps

I know a little boy named Ari (younger child at my son's school) - his parents are cool "hipster" types. Honestly the name confuses me. I wondered for quite awhile what his name was - kept trying to figure out what they were calling him. Even discussed it with my OH, as we both tried to decipher what his name was. And then when we officially realized they call him Ari - I was trying to figure out what "Ari" was a nickname for. I'm not entirely sure, but I think that is his full name. I'm not saying I don't like it. I guess it just seems "incomplete" to me. I've never known anyone named Ari. And my mind just naturally assumes it's a shortened version of the girl's names Arianna or Aria (or maybe even Ariel).

I love Ava Winter - gorgeous name! Ava is beautiful and even prettier paired with Winter! Layla May is nice too - but definitely my 2nd choice.

By the way - Taj Henry is such an awesome name!!

Ari is short for Aristotle but I don't like Aristotle as a name. I got Ari from the show Entourage - Jeremy Piven's character is Ari Gold and I've liked it ever since. It was only from googling the name that I found it is short for Aristotle and is actually a really popular jewish name (although I'm not jewish).

We got the name Taj from a famous surfer here in Australia - Taj Burrow and I love that it means 'Prince' in Hindu (Hence the Taj Mahal - Princes Palace'

Love Ari and my vote is on Layla. Layla and Taj sound great together. Also, I know you're not in the UK but here Ava is really popular and just feel like I hear it too often.

Thanks littlelily <3 I usually don't like 'common' names (obviously with my son's name being Taj) but I honestly have never met any Ava's or even heard of any friends of friends with children having that name so I don't mind so much that it's a 'common' name elsewhere IYNWIM xx

I love love LOVE Ava Winter. I'm not too big on Ari for a boy, but it's probably just because I've only known girl Aris. But gender neutral names are big now, so if you like it, go for it.

It's funny because I've read forums where people have asked if they like Ari for a girl and everyone says no it's too masculine for a girl but they like it for a boy! It's short for Aristotle but I don't like that name. I've never met a girl or boy Ari tbh but I love the name :winkwink:

I like Ava winter. And Ari is super cute for a boy or girl. I even like Ava May is sounds good altogether. Ava May Richardson.
