Do you love or hate...

i like it, and i like how its shortened, but it wouldn't be a name i'd choose x

Love it love it love it. It's my daughters middle name, and I really wanted it as her first name but OH said no :(

It means God's Gift, or God is my promise and we had such a rough pregnancy with her, and nearly lost her a few times that it just fit so perfectly. That and I think some of the nicknames are lovely for a little girl :)

I love it, but I love classic elegant names.

I love the name Elizabeth but then I'm a big Pride and Prejudice fan!

However I've now found that MIL's middle name is Elizabeth and his Nana is a Betty, so therefore a shortened Elizabeth. I wouldn't want them to think I was naming a little girl after them. :nope:

I'll maybe get to use it as a middle name though but I would keep it as Elizabeth and not shorten or abreviate the name. It's too lovely!

My daughters middle name is elizabeth and was thinking of using Libbie if this bubbz is girl

Elizabeth is the name we have if we have a girl, after my nanna. I love it! I think it's delightfully traditional and very feminine. I think it's lovely shortened to Lizzy too.:)

I think it is a very nice name. I like names that can be shortened in different ways, but also stand up as "grown-up" names. I'd like to give a name to our baby girl that can be shortened into a cute name, but also, which can be a strong name once she is a grown up

Thats exactly what I think its nice to have a cute name as a child but one day they might be prime minister or a brain surgeon (high expectations I know) and they need a 'proper' name.

That's what I think too.

I love Elizabeth/Elisabeth.

love it, i also like it shortened to libby...theres a little girl in my sons class who is called libby-lou which i think is so cute

i like it alot, eventhough i'm normally not a huge fan of classic names

but when little/kid/teen it can be shortened all kinds of ways
and then when growing up you can either stick with a nickname if you're a cool chick
or go with your full name if you have a job in higher management, it's a name with power then hehe

and i just happen to have known an awesome cool Elisabeth ;)

I love Elisabeth, my daughter has it as her middle name although most presume it has a z! xx
