Do you need a scan before clomid is prescribed?

As above. I have 21 day bloods tomorrow and thought that I might start clomid next cycle, however is a scan nec first?

I didnt have a scan before my dr started me on Clomid not sure if this is the case for everyone or not it was a few cycles after starting clomid that I got my scan and that is when they determined that I had PCOS.

I had to have an HSG test as well as multiple blood tests before starting Clomid.

I had the scan first. But I dont think its uncommon not too. You could always ask if you can have one.
