Do you think baby kicking to music mean that they like it?

I play quite a lot of music and have found that our baby seems to kick during some particular artists/songs and not others. Its not all overly bass filled music or anything like that - Ive found she kicks a lot at lady gaga lately!! Do you think this means she likes or dislikes the music?

I`m not sure if kicks mean they like the music but I defo think my bump likes music and sure it can do no harm. My hubby got an ap that plays music for the baby to listen to and I thought that was so cute!

I am very sure my baby loves the Sean Paul ft Alexis - Got 2 Luv you song I put that on my belly and she kicks kicks kicks and moves, and that is the only song that makes her move loads xx

There was a show on last night called "Curiosity - Life Before Birth" and the part that I found interesting was when they did an experiment on 2 moms to be at 25-26 weeks whereby they played the babies 2 different types of music while monitoring the response via babies heartrate and also via babies facial expressions through a 4D scan.

Music 1 was hip hop: Babies heartrate's raised dramatically - 20% within a couple of seconds of the music being played, went from 128 resting rate to 155 almost instantly and the babies actually looked like they were crying/in distress.

Music 2 was classical: Heartrate remained at resting and babies looked at ease.

The said that babies prefer music with a beat that is close to the rate of their mother's heartbeat

I've been playing music to the baby lately and she's kicking away but now I'm thinking is she trying to say "shut that thing up mom" lol

I don't know. I can't decide when baby kicks whether he is enjoying it or is signalling, "What is that crap? It sounds terrible!".
