Do you think I caught the egg?

TTC #1 and just curious about the whole LH Surge and if I caught the egg. I stopped the pill on 6/14/11 and got my withdrawl bleed on 6/18/2011. Started using the Clear Blue Digital Ovulation Test (with the smiley) and got a smiley on 7/7/2011 @ 6am. I have sex @ 1am on 7/5, 8am on 7/7, 8pm on 7/8 and 7/9 @ 8pm (just to be safe). I only got one smiley this cycle (No smiley on 7/8). So is it safe to say I ovulated on 7/8 (I had the sorest boobs ever the night of 7/7 and they were better on 7/8). Sorry very new to this and this stuff is already making me impatient to take a pregnancy test any advice would be greatly appreciated. Baby dust to all!

I'd bd a few more times just to me safe. When you get a smiley it indicates that the hormone necessary to release the egg is present. It could be a couple of days (or more if you are stressed) before you actually ovulate. Good luck!

I'm new too, but what I've read is in line with aquaria's suggestion - the opk is positive before you ovulate, and how long after it turns positive that you actually ovulate depends on the woman and the cycle; can be anywhere from as early as 12 hours to as late as 4 days.. so if it were me, I'd keep BD'ing another couple days just in case!

Im pretty sure you bd at the perfect times. You ovulate 12-36 hours after a smiley.
