I was one of these people (like Wobbles :D ) who started shopping in June/July :smug: I picked up bargains where I saw them then hid them & hid them & hid them:dohh:

Now I have them all in my garage undercover ;) and I'm now wondering do the kids have enough as I have forgotten half of what I've got them:blush: It looks a sizeable pile but I can't be arsed to take it all apart and check who has what plus its freezing out there:shy:

Even it turns out to be loads i still will probably think 'do they have enough?':dohh:

I might go and check just in case plus I need to check if theres anything that needs 5 million batteries:hissy:

so am I alone?

No!!! Your not alone

I may get Caitlin a few little bits today if theres anything that I think she will like or use if its buying just because they may not have enough then don't if you spot something that will be useful why not? Plus remember with the older kids theres usually a bigger prezzie that doesn't have to mean 'size' its £££ lol

Batteries wise I'd buy a heap anyway usually AA & C batteries any spare always get used in 'somthing' lol!! We started buying rechargables in AA size!

 still buying? ermmmm well me too :shy:

Example: I went to my local toyshop to get 1 Thomas the tank engine train, bear in mind I've bought him maybe 10 already  The trip should have cost me £4.99......what did it really cost me?

£54 :argh: I bought 4 trains with trailers plus a tractor plus a doll for Katie plus a toy for Katies buggy!

I'm afraid to go back to the toyshop plus I'm afraid that when santa descends I may have to move because the toys could possibly have took over because I can't remember what I bought :hissy:

glad I'm not alone though :D

im the same i keep thinking thats it thats enough and then i get something else x

im exactly the same, havent got a clue where everything is gonna go, everything callums got is really chunky!!!!! Him and nicole share a room, i may have to sleep downstairs after christmas.

its so hard to resist buying them stuff, i think next year i might leave it till november instead of starting early!!

im the same. I started buying in august, aqnd ive forgot half of what ive bought him. Hes got loads, but im still finding things i think he will like, hes so damn spoilt!!

I honestly think you end up spending more money when you start shopping early. You still have lots of time to go out and buy more. LOL

I'm the same way. My kids have been truly spoiled BUT Chase needs new clothes as he's grown out of a lot and is living in sleepers.etc. So I bet when I go to the mall today or soon, I'll be spending more money on all of them.

I'm beginning to think that way too Leeanne, earlier you buy the more you end up spending  but I did get a load of things on sale :smug:

I wonder if there are any massive toy sales going on  Argos usually have a really good one :shy: *away to check*

Do you know what the sad thing is and I have to remember? Buy loads and loads and more often than not with my kids, stuff gets used a few times and then it is classified as stored clutter. Trying so hard to only get what I know they will play with.

I just asked hubby this question last night I never think they have enough, Dans looks a bit miserable because he asked for a playstation3 which cost us 320 pounds !!! I went out last week to grab a few cards, didnt get the cards but got Dan a 60 quid pair of trainers, told hubby they were just a little stocking filler and also got Dec a matching pair.
Leanne you are right the earlier you start the more you spend.

I start the same time as you and i also noticed had too many toys. Chucked them up in the loft which only OH can get up. So i couldnt even check to see if i had enough
But all wrapped since 2 weeks now and it took me flipping ages to wrap them all.
The annoying thing is i always say , ' this year i wont go mad with presents' :dohh:

I obviously thought they hadnt enough and spent more today :hissy:

I think the toy shop needs to taake out an injunction on me before I'm broke

I'm the same! I start my shopping in July / August, and I have one or two people who I still need to buy for (my brother, mother's partner and brother-in-law - MEN!) but whenever I go out I keep seeing things for people who I have ALREADY got more than enough for (but nothing for those I need to get things for)! :dohh: lol

Anna has far too much despite me being so determined not to buy too much for her (I thought I learnt this lesson with my brother and nephew's first Christmas's - my mum and sister were cursing all the gifts they had got for them as there was no room to move in either of their houses!) but I seem to have made the mistake any way... :dohh:

If anyone still is looking for gifts, though my local woolies (I don't know if yours ist he same) are doing a singing, talking rocking horse for £10!! Bargain!

:rofl::rofl:

I did 90% of my wrapping yesterday and my mind is reeling on what else to get my kids. I got my nephew a gift and OH and I were talking about how Jayden would also love it. LOL Which means if I get that, I'll have to get something else for Amanda too.

Going out today for the last shopping trip so I know I will come home with more.
