Doctor's Appt tomorrow....

My DH and I have been TTC for a year now. We are going to see our doctor tomorrow. This isn't a fertility doctor, just our regular doctor. Has anyone gotten good support from a general doctor or should I ask right away about going to a fertility doctor. My DH is 39 and I'm 36.

Are there any questions I should be sure and ask???

I'm feeling pretty down, my DH has always said he's wanted to be a dad before he was 40... time is ticking for that! Every month, it's just more disappointment

Honestly, I would ask to be refered to a fertility specialist. While GP's are usually supportive, they do not have special training in the area of fertility. Since you have been ttc for a year, there shouldn't be any problem getting in with one. Hope it goes well for you and you get your BFP soon!

Thank you for your reply. It went well! We got our referral to a fertility clinic and it turns out it's the same clinic my GP went to! It took her 3 years to get pregnant. It was nice to talk to someone who truly understood. I'm relieved to get the appointment set up with the fertility clinic tomorrow and start getting ready for a
