I don't know if it's the GD or being over 30 this time or what but I am so unmotivated to want to do anything!!!! I'm not depressed I just have no energy! I have so much that needs to be done but I have no energy to want to do it! I'm a stay at home mom and between keeping the kids entertained and taken care of, I seriously want to do absolutely nothing!!! Please tell me I'm not alone

Im exactly the same way.. I push myself to do the dishes then i feel exhausted

Me too hun i feel so lazy but i dont want to do anything, after school walks, dishes and washing the thought of hoovering and mopping makes me need a rest lol my housework has really suffered :(

Oh oh pick me! I have no motivation and I have no kids unless you count my dog that constantly wants to play play play! Lol

I came home from work I'll today and I'm too lazy to do anything

Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one ;)

I feel lazy, but if I force myself to do something I find that I do have the energy once I get moving, it's just the initial push that is a challenge.

I spend the morning out with ds, play group, park, friends etc then spend 1/2.30 trying not to fall asleep, then he goes down for a nap and boom, I do fall asleep!

Yeah I guess you're right about this, it's just actually finding the motivation to do it lol!

Midday is the hardest time of the day for me as well! When I let myself, I also will nap around this time when my youngest is napping and give my oldest a craft or something she can do quietly on her own, Sunday's after church are the hardest!!!

Me. I am absolutely exhausted all of the time. Thankfully, my husband and I decided I was able to make the switch from working full time to part time. It helps some, but then being home more I do more of the housework. Making babies is hard work I guess. But it will be worth it.

I'm so tired lately and feel so lazy that all I do is want to sleep. I'm not sure if it's depression related, but I feel like I'm in a haze most times.

Aww Eleanoir, I'm sorry you feel like it might be related to depression :( are you/were you already depressed or are you just feeling like it might be something you're experiencing with this pregnancy? Sometimes I can feel this way because I'm so demotivated that I feel useless to my family but remember you're making a baby! Your body is doing a lot of work right now and it's creating a baby!!!

I can so relate, and its nice to read that I am not the only one! I'm really struggling at work. When I can manage to focus and actually accomplish something, I feel like it takes me twice as long as usual. Most of the time, I just don't want to be doing anything though. It's tough! It doesn't help that I'm swamped and just drowning in work... hope they bring in some help for me soon.

Oh good, I'm not the only one!! I feel exhausted regardless of how much sleep I get and by 12 nearly every day a headache seems to start and by 3 I can barely keep my eyes open and the headache is pounding. I'm a nanny and find I do a lot in the morning but just can't manage much in the afternoon. Thankfully one naps and the other one plays while I get a break, but the rest of the afternoon we hang around home and do relaxed things.

Me! I don't know about this second trimester energy as I am exhausted all day every day. I am off work and suppose to be resting so I have somewhat of an excuse but I feel bad that I sleep for the better part of the afternoon every day. I don't remember this in my other 2 pregnancies.

I have a long history of depression, when I was younger I struggled with self-harm as well. I'm not sure if it's just sheer exhaustion or the start of the downward spiral, I have an appointment Thursday with my dr, so I'll talk to him about it then. Thank you so much for your kind words, it's nice to know I'm not alone with feeling tired and lacking motivation. :hugs:

Eleanoir - I hope your doctor is helpful x

I'm really tired too, I have been since the start. I had a bit of a perk up at about 17 or so weeks onwards but have never really got the second tri energy. I've gone back to being exhausted since having low blood pressure issues a couple of weeks ago. Does anyone else find they aren't sleeping that well? I wake up early every morning for a couple of hours.

EXHAUSTED, Is an understatement :( I have a hard time keeping my eyes open at work. I don't have to go to work because my it's my Dh's company. but I try to get out of the house and do SOMETHING. I'm here now and I keep putting my head down. I'm so tired! I think it's age for me (32). It's been 8.5 years since I was pregnant last but in my twenties it seemed a lot easier.....

Yes flipporama! I've had so many people say 30 and above is not old, well though I agree with them, being pregnant in your 20s is so different than being pregnant in your 30s! I'll be 33 next month and this pregnancy has been way harder than the ones I had in my 20s and all my friends that have had both say the same thing ;)

I'm 39 and it's my first pregnancy. I hate blaming my age for things because I am healthy and active, but holy crap I am exhausted! Luckily I am off work for the summer (teacher), because this is much harder than I expected. I was dragging so hard near the end of the school year. When I finally told my 16/17 year olds I was pregnant, they cried and hugged me, because they had thought I had an illness and was hiding it from them! It's almost worse to be off work in some ways though, because now I really don't have to do anything and I almost feel like that's making the fatigue worse. My husband is ecstatic about the pregnancy, so he tends to do everything - cook, clean, shop, whatever. We always used to split the housework before, and I guess I should feel lucky to have such a great husband, but I'm such a couch blob these days :(
