Does anyone else's baby have webbed toes?

So i've just noticed that my ds has webbing between his 2nd and 3rd toes on both feet. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and knew if I needed to flag it up with the gp or if i can just mention it next time i see the hv? Does it have any implications for his development? Will it make it harder to walk? He has no other symptoms of any inherited disorder and noone else in out family has them so i think it's just a random thing.

I'm very surprised that wasn't picked up when he was born. I would take him to a doctor just in case.

Yeah, I would mention it to the doctor - although in theory as I was explained by my chiropractor we depend the most on our big toe and pinkie when walking, it probably doesn't hurt to have other toes free as well.

But for some reason, and I apologize if this is weird, I found this photo absolutely endearing. Just comes to show how all babies are a little bit different, all with their own precious little traits and small imperfections that make them real individuals.

My dad has webbing between his second and third toes just like you LO and it never posed a problem for him in any way.

I know quite a few adults who have this. It never would have occurred to me that it would need a medical opinion, because I suppose Ive seen fully grown adults who don't have any issues so it seemed pretty much on the spectrum of "normal" (whatever that is!).

I've seen webbing (more in hands) tied to genetic conditions so if I did see it in my own baby I'd like to find our more.
