Does anyone have a birth pool heat retaining cover they would consider selling?

Hi,

I purchased the Made in Water birthing pool from eBay and got a bargain at £50 (including all of the standard kit). The only thing missing is a heat retaining cover. I have looked online and although they are only £9.95, but the postage is £10 which I think seems a lot and I don't really want to pay £20 for one.

Bit of a long shot but does anyone have one they would consider selling?

Im not even sure if I'll use it but would like the option.

Thanks! :)

They keep heat really well without the cover. I don't think they make that much difference and I use la bassine pools with my clients all the time. Rarely use the cover. In fact I think it's been once in about 20 births!

You know the plastics dust sheets you can buy? One of those will be as good.

oh really? - thanks for the advice :)

We do have quite a lot of bubble wrap at the moment and I did think about taping some sheets together to act as a cover?
May just save myself the added expense!

thanks again

Bubble wrap DEFINTELY works. I used some spare foil lined bubble wrap to cover mine for my own birth. The type they insulate lofts with! Worked like a dream and I had to cool it down it get in it 12 hours after we filled it!!
