Well, I am receiving maternity allowance from government as I left my job during pregnancy to move away, my partner was working full time but then his company lost a very large contract and they started doing company wide redundancies; it was kind of a last in first out situation. What I was wondering is, if I find a job (his is quite a specialised job) would i be ale to transfer over my remaining maternity pay to him? I have been on maternity since the binging of September? I would appreciate any info anyone has on this as the websites confuse the hell out of me!! Xx

you can't transfer mat pay to someone else.... sorry
you may be entitled to tax credits but this depends on your household income
:hugs:

My hubby and I shared my maternity leave. You can share the 9 months statutory and what you dont take can be transfered to your partner (i took 6 months and he took the remaining 3). You need to fill out a form for your partners work confiming you have went back to work and he needs to give them notice. I cant remember how much notice as we did everything pretty early on in pregnancy as it was always our intention to share the leave. Also not sure how it works with MA but I would assume it would be the same xx
