Brixton is an area of London. I like the name but it would have very strong associations over here as Brixton is a very distinctive area - it's the equivalent (hopefully I don't offend anyone here, I certainly don't mean to) of naming your child Harlem. Still the Beckhams named their son Brooklyn. Anyway I like it just wanted you to be aware that it's a well known place over here.

I don't like it, sorry. It did make me think of the area in London and the Braxton-Hicks too.

But when I was pregnant with Joseph I did consider Paxton as his middle name and I doubt many people would have been keen on that but I loved it. So if you love it don't let anyone else put you off.

I agree with you. I am originally from London, England and moved to NYC in 1996. Brixton is indeed the equivalent of calling your child Harlem.

Having said that, it's a cute name!

Well I thinks it is cute, I am not from that arear, nor have I ever heard of it, I think it sounds like a strong individual, but I guess I wanted opinions and thats what I got lol!! Thanks ladies, Can I get some opinions on these names as well please??
