i worry it unsettles my LOs sleep when I wake him at my bedtime to feed him. He's so sound asleep at 10.30 it seems a shame to disturb him. I'm not sure the last feed stops him feeding any earlier in the night tbh...but I like the idea that it might get me a few more hours.

Ted is nealry 8 months and between 11 and 6am still bfeeds about every 3 hours. sometimes every 2.....is it just habit?!

I have never done the 'dream feeding'. I fed Erin when she wanted it. She started sleeping through the night at 10 weeks and as never woken since in the night. xx

Hannah goes from 6:30 at night until 7:45 or later without eating. We cut out her night feeds as soon as she was weaned. It was tough for a few weeks but she's great now

Rosie has her last bottle between 7:30 and 8pm, sleep till 4:20am, has a bottle and goes back down till 8am.
Have never dream fed her, not really sure it will change her sleeping habbits

I only fed her when she woke up for it-did try dream feeding once but she wasn't having any of it. If he's hungry he'll wake up, does sound a lot to still be feeding in the night, but some babies do, tho could maybe be partly a comfort thing?

I asked my dr when Marlie was 6 months old how much a baby her weight would need to feed at night. He said at her weight (she was then 13 lbs) she should be able to go from 10-7 at night. We give her a dream feed still around 10 and she doesn't eat again until 7, so it was true! We've decided to keep giving her a dream feed until she's a bit bigger (she's 8 months, but only 15 lbs). I think when she gets to about 16-17 lbs we'll drop it as she should be eating enough in the day by then to keep her full from 7-7.

leyla doesnt have a dream feed, i just cannot get her latched on when shes even a bit sleepy, i have to wake her up and feed her...it works better i think cos she feeds properly then so its not just a top up, its a proper 45min feed

i don't. he has his last feed between 8-9pm ish then wakes up for breakfast between 6-7am.

keely.

We wake Max at 10.30 too for his feed , once he's fed he's down til 7am most mornings. I dont think I could leave him for him to wake at 4/5 in the morning. I'm planning to wait until he's weaned before i drop the feed.

bloody hell...so many babies sleeping through!! I'm seriously missing out on some sleep here!!!!!

well Hannah doesn't sleep through but she usually self settles, Stan gets up maybe once to put the soother back in

I still dream feed Jay at 10 but he dropped his 5am feed about 2 weeks ago :) I'm planning on dropping the dream feed when he gets a bit heavier (he's only 14pounds 4oz at the mo) and he's weaned.

He does wake during the night a few times but he'll sometimes self settle or I'll just pop his dummy in and he goes back to sleep.

xx

Ive never 'dream fed' and Olivia has slept through from 2 weeks old.

She usually in bed for 7 and 9 times out of 10 is asleep at 7:30 and wakes up any time between 07:00 - 08:30 am

I dont dream feed ellie shes always been quite a good sleeper so never needed to. My son wasnt so good at sleeping and i tried dream feeding him but it never made him sleep for longer but every baby is different it worked for a friend with her son.

I just feed Tabs when she wakes up, although i have to be strong and try make her soothe herself.

I don't, did once and it didn't do anything. Some babies it just doesn't do anything for.

I've never done the dream feeding with Rihanna, she as slept through since 9 weeks and gone 12 hrs so she must be happy with what she gets before bedtime. x

I sometimes dreamfed her... it depends on how the evenng went, if she doesnt drink mouch before 8pm (bedtime) then I will dreamfeed her... she doesnt even wake up lol.

Other then that she self settles herself throughout the night... I rarely have to get up, I think I did once in the last month.
