my dd is 3months today & I've used it only a couple of times i really don't like giving it to her unless I've tried absolutely everything else but is it as bad as i am thinking? Im positive she has a sore mouth because she's groaning & chow her hands but Im reluctant to give her the paracetamol even tho i know it'll make her feel better. she just seems toil wee!!

I've used it a few times, after LOs injections, when he had a really bad cold and once when I think he was in pain from teething. I was worried about him not needing it but I thought I'd rather give it him once when he might not need it than leave him in pain iykwim.
Have you got any teething gel you can use? That might be better to use than the calpol if it's LOs gums that are hurting.

I use it whenever I think she needs it.I've read alot up on it and my doc told me that if she's teething and needs it everynight for 2 weeks straight then it wouldn't do any harm but of course if it was every 4-6hrs then 3 days before consulting a doc further.we take something for pain when we need it and I definitely wouldn't let her deal with pain/fever on her own xx

it could possibly be teething maybe try something like anbesol liquid its much better than the gels we used this before we got an amber teething necklace, LO has had calpol on numerous occasions whrn shes been poorley temp ect id rather give her something to ease her pain than see her suffering iykwim x

Hey sweetie if you think she's suffering then I'd give her some. If Fran's teething I tend to just give her a dose before she goes to bed so she gets some relief to help her nod off.

I also agree with the person who suggested Anbesol liquid - it is absolutely brilliant stuff. It contains anaesthetic which really helps to numb the sore area - I use it on my wisdom teeth!

The first time Thomas had it he was 2 weeks old. He had a blood infection and the nurses used it to lower his temperature. Since then I've used it for jabs. I don't think it's bad.

I put the calpol in DD bottle maybe once a day if shhe is really bad with her teeth and it does help! (She won't take of the spoon) like rosie said if it is teething anbesol is fantastic better than the gels.
