Hi

I was just wondering whether anyone worked in Human Resources in the UK that could maybe help with some advice, please?

I am (or was) a sales rep for a company that's nearest office is 76 miles from my house. All the time I worked for them I was based from home and looked after the area in which I lived in, this didn't inlcude the areas that the office was located in.

I had a company car as part of the package. A few weeks ago they made me redundant and I was allowed to keep the car for the duration of the notice period.

Originally the MD said I could drop the car off to the town where he lives as this also is the town where my DF works, so I could get a lift home from him.

Now the Boss has emailed me to say the car has to be dropped to the office, and that someone will give me a lift to the train station. Does the company have a responsibility to get me home? (ie pay for the train ticket).

I have been paying for the petrol personally for the duration of the notice. Surely they should be paying for that journey if they are demanding where the car is to be dropped off and then they should get me home.

Do I have any rights in this situation?

Hoping someone can help

Thanks

not sure hun but it doesn't sound fair!
Least they can do is pay for a taxi home..... or tell them to collect it from you!

good luck
