LO has always been very varied in how much he feeds (FF), ranging from 4oz to 6oz. He usually goes 3-3.5 hours between feeds.

Since Wednesday he has been draining 6oz every time, but has also been going a little longer / waking a little later meaning he is down to 5 bottles a day (we wake him at 11pm)

Also, until Wednesday he would sleep from after his 11pm bottle until 7/8am. But since Wednesday he has been waking and needing resettling at 3am EVERY night. You could set your watch by it.

So, yesterday I fed him routinely at 3 hours so he had 6 bottles, all 6oz, and he STILL woke needing to be settled. I thought he was hungry, but with his dummy and a cuddle he went back to sleep.

Should I up him to 7oz? He is obviously not totally settled and I can't work out if it is because he is hungry. He is not cold as although last night it was chilly, the night before it was mild, yet he still woke at the SAME time!

HI hun. There is a growth spurt at 3 months this is why he might be waking up more at night for feeds. If you think he needs the extra you can up his bottles & see how it goes. If he's draining his bottles there is no harm to up his feeds with 1 oz. Growth spurts usually settle after few days. At night if he's settling with a cuddle & dummy, there is no need to introduce a feed. Mine dropped all his night feeds & started to go for 12-13 hrs with no feeds at night since he was 12 weeks. xx

Thanks for the reply. Growth spurt had gone through my mind as during the day he is only managing to stay awake for a little over an hour which is unlike him. Am going to offer him 7oz at 11pm tonight, he might take just a little extra which might help him have a more settled night
