I am considering putting Megan on hungry baby milk as she is eating loads lately and is still not satisfied but I don't want her to be on solids just yet. I am concerned though that if it is thicker will it cause any constipation as she has quite a delicate little tum. Has anyone had any issues when moving across to hungry baby milk? I just want to make sure she will be okay!!!

i moved my lo over to hungry baby at 4 weeks old at HV advice. It didnt make my LO constipated at all, although i have heard people say it does. Think it really just depends on the baby. Maybe you could slowly wean her over to it by giving her 1 bottle a day for a few days, then 2, then 3, until shes completely on hungry baby? x

Thanks hun, I didn't realise I could do that. I may try and give her one bottle today, maybe at bedtime and see how we get on x

yeah you can :) maybe start of giving her 1 bottle a day and once your happy that shes ok on it, slowly start increasing the amount of bottles until shes fully on them. But like I said, my lo went on it at 4 weeks with no troubles. Although it didnt really make any differences to him lol x

Thomas has been on Aptamil Hungry Milk since we started mixed feeding at 17 weeks (and now fully formula fed for the last 2 weeks) & he has had no problems at all with constipation.

i gave aiden one at night and he got constipation literally overnight so stopped and a week later he is still not better xx

I put my oldest on hungry milk, i weaned him onto it too under hv advice, she also told me to either give him some water to drink at feed time or if he wouldnt drink the water, just put an extra ounce of water in his feeds and see how that goes. I had to put an extra ounce of water in his bottles, he seemed to be ok with this. I would def say to wean your lo onto it, if your worried give some extra water through the day.

Hi hun, we were using hungrier baby cow and gate formula and out lo kept getting colic and screamed with pain when we mentioned to the hv she said ur not using hungrier baby formula r u as its not good for them to digest and they really struggle she said only use it on older babies!

I moved Elle onto hungry baby milk and she didnt poop for three days and it made no difference to how much she ate either, have put on her back on comfort milk today and she has poo'ed four times bless her, she must have been full of it

I started Jessica on HM about a month ago and she is fine but I alternate between hungry and normal

Ella is 4wks on C&G hungry. Made no diff. to her, still 3 poos a day. One 'soft formed' and two almost breastfed explosions...!

Chloe certianly has no probs in the poop department, she has been on HB for so long now, roughly from 2 months.

Hope the transitions goes okay for your LO :flower:

Thanks for the advice ladies. I think I will try her with the weaning approach and just offer her one bottle at first. It seems like there are a lot of mixed reactions to it so I don't want to just launch into it but I do want her to feel satisfied after feeding. Will let you all know how it goes xxx
