yeah but when you hear it you're more likely to hear the first name as Meghan, than Mega... When you hear things, your brain processes the sound in the context of things you already know, and tries to make sense of it, so no-one in their right mind would think your baby's name was Mega, since it's obviously much more likely to be Meghan

i love megan, i'd decided just before i found out i was having a boy that if bump was a girl she would of been megan, originally rosie but then changed to megan-rose.
I think ya other half is a tad daft lol Nobody will think you said mega instead of meghan lol
