Hi, you may have read in my other thread that I have began court proceedings against my ex for PR and contact.

I was thinking, does she have to show up for court? What if she doesnt? Will I have to pay another £200 for another court date?

Anybody have experience of the other party not showing up?

Just my ex is very stubborn, I can see her telling me to f*ckoff! She also works 9-5 so would have to take time off work, or does your job have to allow you time off if you have been told to attend court?

she has to turn up your £200 is waisted money there called directional hearings the court is not allowed to make a decision your ex makes a offer of contact and if you dont acept the judge can try to reason with her but cant say no to her it will cost you at least £400 you need to ask for a contested hearing on the first directional hearing. hate to be the one to tell you but they can drag it out for 3-4 years and countless hearings depending on what your ex acusses you off dont reley on social services to investigate anything they wont for court proccidings they will just put it on file as unsubsantiated there to overstreatched dosent matter if you tell them your ex is mira hindly there to buisy best way is to try to build bridges the court puts the mum in charge for a very very long time.theres no conciqences for your ex lieing or totally ignoring any contact orders but there is with contested hearings if she refuses to let you see them shes in contempt of court 40 days jail or comunity service if she ignores the family courts nothing they wont even slap her on the wrist and they will go along with whatever silly games she wonts to play on you next
