I was at my first trimester screening at 11w+5d. The woman doing the ultrasound said she thinks its a boy and showed me what looked like a penis. She put little arrows pointing to it. Let me know what you all think.

That's a nub n 12 weeks on the dot is even early as that's when they begin to rise. It's slanted indicating girl FYI right now but could VERY WELL still be a boy.

I was surprised to hear the ultrasound tech actually give a guess so early on. I wasn't expecting that! And I'm hoping it is too soon because I'm secretly hoping for a girl...

I also got a guess on my 12 weeks scan, I was shocked, 'cause this is my 3rd pregnancy and the tech would not guess on my previous 2 but this time she guessed girl! Like you, I was hoping it would be too early to guess (and it is) but I'd say if the tech dares to take a guess this early on, they are most likely to be correct! Got an 18 weeks confirmation that mine was indeed a girl

At my 12 week scan we didn't get a proper "nub shot." However, my ultrasound tech asked if I wanted her to guess and I said sure. She pointed at what to me just looked like a line (and it didn't even look like it was where a nub should be), and said, "I'm guessing boy, because that's not the umbilical cord." 4 weeks later at my private gender scan- sure enough, it's a boy! I agree with what pp said, if they are willing to guess- then I think they're pretty certain.
