we earn slightly over 17000 and get 6pw wtc and we dont pay childcare. And as another poster said we get 58pw ctc.
The HMRC website says the working tax credit threshold is £15860 from April 2011. After this you only qualify for child tax credits.
But who knows how they figure it out?
As another poster said - they must just pick a random figure out of the air!
