I might be starting uni next september and Lola will probably have to go to nursery. The very thought of it fills me with dread

So, if your LO goes to nursery, do they enjoy it? What sort of activities do they do? Please share what you're LO's nursery is like! Thanks :flower:

amelie loves it! She sometimes doesnt want to come home  and wants me to stay and play too LOL

zane went to nursery for awhile at 8 months and loved it!
he likes being around other babies and getting lots of attention from the nursery staff.
he never wanted to come home and the staff didnt want him to either lol
if i can find a job, he will be going back as i think its important for toddlers to be around other children their age

Noah loves nursery! He goes once a week for an afternoon purely to socialise whilst i clean up the house. He was a bit upset at first but 9 times out of 10 he doesn't want to leave! He went for a full day last week so that we could move house and we still didn't have any problems.
He does all sorts as they even at toddler age have a set curriculum that they have to follow. Hes brought home all sorts of artwork and models. They do dressing up, messy play, he even learns to use a computer and hes 18 months old lol!!
My best advice would be to look up local nurseries websites online and send them an email when you know you definatly are starting uni and arrange to have a look around a few, each nursery will do things slightly different.

Ciaran loves nursery :D! When I drop him off I dont even get a bye he goes running in :(! Then when I go to pick him up he sometimes takes tantrums because he doesn't want to leave  Hes come on a bit since then too his talking is slowly getting there:D! xx

Hannah loves it, she has loads of little friends and when she is not at nursery she is constantly asking me where her friends are :)

The teachers are lovely, Hannah adores her key worker. She makes models and does paintings to bring home, they go for walks to the country park...

She has also progressed at a rapid rate compared to her other friends that don't go to nursery. Her speech is way ahead, and she is a lot more self confident.

Chloe and Jaycee love it.. They have lots of play time and learning, this nursery have a huge garden with toys and climbing frames and stuff and they also do action amanda which is dancing and the girls really love that!
They go from 7.30am til 1pm and when I pick them up they are ready for a nice big sleep. lol

Charlie loves nursery, he's pretty sociable and enjoys being with the other babies.. They do finger painting, songtime, alone time with key worker (who he adores!) lots of good quality toys and stimulation. They also get healthy food cooked on the premises and play outside if the weather is nice and go to the local parks or long walks... I hand in a disposable camera so if they're doing anything new I can get some photo's. I was worried about missing special moments but unfortunately I need to work :( Good on you for going to Uni, your LO will probably end up loving nursery

So i have the odd child my daughter isn't it's biggest fan. Shes only 13 months old and she's very clingy. She crys her little heart out when i leave her on a morning but the staff say after about 15 minutes she calms down and plays. When Sophie (a member of staff) leaves at 5pm she gets very very upset. Apparently this is who she has taken to and she won't let her out of her site. I'm going to start and finish work a bit early so i can be there for 5pm so there are as few tears as possible. I know it will do her good in the long run she's still just settling in.

My little one has been there since she was pretty young. Took a few weeks to settle in and your heart breaks leaving them, but it does get easier and like all the other kids above, my LO loves it. Hard to drag her away sometimes!

My little one started at 8 or 9 months and he loves it before he started he was actually quite shy around strangers and now he will chat play cuddle with anyone ... its done wonders for his confidence and they do such lovely things there they do dress up day once i took him in as an insect lol and also they do painting and splashing in the water .... play in the garden but having the other kids around is great they also teach the children how to sit and eat properly ... i didnt realise my son had started using cutlery until they said the other week .... its great and i dont work anymore but we still keep him in nursery couple of days a week as we couldnt bare to take him out as he loves it x

Ella goes to a carer, and she loves going. She has always been a very independent sort, even on the first day she didn't look back at us leaving her! :( Her carer does lots of different activities with the kids - playgroup 2x a week, mainly music (preschool music program), toddler gym, trips to the park etc. as well as arts and crafts, cooking etc. and the company that employs the carers do trips to the zoo, museum, farms etc a couple of times a term.
