does your upstairs get neglected!?

Im constantly cleaning our lounge/kitchen but upstairs gets soo neglected i can never be arsed to carry the hoover up/polish/mop the bathroom!

i change oscs bed every morning empty bathroom bin put clothes away change our sheets once a week etc but theres so much that needs doing.

our wardbrobe has once again turned into a floordrobe,out drawes are just stuffed with shit it needs hoovering again behind dans computer is just grim the list goes on!


dan uses this weird red gel in the shower to get oil off from work and it literally gets everywhere im sick to death of cleaning it,i hate having a dirty bathroom but its so much effort cleaning it!


please tell me im not the only one

Everything usually looks tidy but I am rarely arsed carrying the hoover and stuff up!

I keep those flash wipes in the bathroom and do the bath etc every night!

Fortunately its only the bedrooms upstairs (the bathroom is downstairs too!) but they are an absolute tip! - iv literally JUST taken up bin bags and binned anything that was on the floor, I thought to myself i cant have wanted it that much otherwise it would have been kept nicely so its burning away in the fire bucket down the field now

Seriously though, iv even got to the stage where i just shove clothes away, Im blaming pregnancy but im just fekin lazy! - its desperate to be dusted and under the bed needs a blummin good clear out, let alone the windows needing to be washed!

I dont hoover upstairs as much as downstairs, ill be honest.

Upstairs only sees a hoover and polish on a Saturday and a Mon or Thurs.

I give the bathroom a big bleach twice a week but just tidy it the rest of the time.

Kitchen, hall, stairs and living room i do everyday, but the one place i do neglect though, is the downstairs loo. Its tidy and clean but i dont venture in there as often as i should as its just not used very often, but that will change once potty training is in full swing.

I don't Hoover the upstairs as often as downstairs and the bedrooms could be tidier. I'm more concerned with the downstairs looking nice though as that's where I am all day and where Holly plays

My downstairs is hoovered nearly daily at teh end of the day, dishes all done, all toys away, nice and tidy.

My upstairs i just cba, everytime i go up there its cold

I permanently have a black bin bag up there and every few days bin loads of accumulated crap.

All my laundry lately ive after its dried downstairs just dumped in the spare room.

Im slacking on the bathroom too.

Downstairs is nice though

your definitely not the only one. my upstairs is super neglected. we have about en suite that we have never used even though it was he reason we went for the house so I've only cleaned it once. the bedroom is just covered in piles of clothes i really need to get it sorted before babies here so that's my mission for the next few weeks.

I live in a bungalow so I just brush, hoover and mop them all at the same time. But when I lived in a house it was propper neglected, I used to HATE hoovering the stair carpet, glad I live in a bungalow now!!!

Im ocd so Im constantly tidying and cleaning but if you hate cleaning the bathroom keep some packets of dettol wipes in there so when you nip to the loo you can have a quick wipe round the basin etc, chuck some bleach down the loo. If you do this every day you'll never have to clean it as such!

Yes! Ivy's room is always really tidy and Our bathroom is downstairs but my bedroom is AWFUL. It's a vicious cycle because I never spend any time up there because it's messy, so I forget to tidy as I never think to even go in except toget dressed and sleep! I think it's because I just hate the room anyway, my old bedroom was usually really tidy as it was such a beautiful bedroom but I hate our bedroom now, for some reason the landlord decided to paint the wardrobes a horrible dark pink colour and to actually glue down a hideous orange rug! Ergh. It's so sad as well because I have the most beautiful French antique bed but it is never appreciated!

Thankfully we have a largr flat whivh is all one level so when I hoover I do all rooms at once and same with polishing/dusting etc

Yeah our upstairs is not grand. Tegan's sheets get changed twice a week, Ours are changed once a week, but I will be totally honest, I don't take the hoover up there very often I hoover and steam mop downstairs every night, put toys away, do pots etc but I don't clean upstairs until it needs doing. I do the bathroom every day though.

You're not the only one, I'm like this with our downstairs (it only has the garage and a third bedroom that we use as just a random room). OH nags me and it's probably the only reason I ever vacuum the stairs and then room downstairs

i live in a flat but my bedroom.. well its like a crazy primark sale has gone on!
theres clothes everywhere!!
i just shut the door if anyone comes round..
the rest of the flat is pretty clean though.
not always tidy but its clean!
ive got an inspection on 3rd Dec but i usually put everything in bin bags in the boot of my car then bring it back in once the inspectors gone

Def not the only one, my upstairs looks like a bomb has dropped! I'm just waiting for 'the right time' to sort it all out but that time never seems to come haha.

Hoover? What's a hoover?

We only have carpet on our stairs and I can't stand hoovering so it only comes out once in a blue moon!

We have a dog and we have wooden lounge floor & tile kitchen so sweep those every other day to 3 days usually. I don't polish just wipe with a damp cloth every now and again

Upstairs I use those wipes in the bathroom and usually use them when LO is in the bath, so every other day to 3. the floors are wooden up there too so I sweep maybe once a month!

I do the laundry every day to keep on top of it as we don't have a tumble drier so often rotating on the clothes airer! The clean ones go on the floor till I can be arsed to tidy them up.... maybe once of twice a week x
