In 2 weeks from now, I'll be moving in a 2 bedroom apartment in a city located about 15 hours by car from all my friends/family. So LO and I will be completely on our own for the first time (no one nearby to watch her or help out.)

I'll be going to school full time - 20 hours worth of classes per week plus homework, and LO will be at a daycare centre. I'll be juggling school work, looking after her, and of course getting all chores done - completely on my own :coffee:

I'm so nervous about this, worried about not being able to stay on top of everything, flunking out of school, not giving her the attention she deserves, etc etc.

Advice or words of wisdom from anyone would be appreciated :flower:

PS. The program is 8 months long, its so that I can become certified as a school teacher.

No advice I'm afraid, but it sounds like you're doing the absolute right thing for both your LO and you!

I've got no one around here other than my mum (who is a huge help), but some days there's so much to do it's insane... I find housework can always wait a few days more than I initially thought it could (and this was something I didn't realise until recently, I used to panic about the house being messy! ha!); my sanity and LO's happiness are way more important.

8 months will fly by...! Will you do homework after classes or while LO is at daycare during the day?

Hope it goes brilliantly for you! :)

Thanks :flower: I guess it depends how much I miss her. Maybe some days I'll have to use the quiet time to get things done before I pick her up, but I'm sure there will be days where I can't wait to see her and go pick her up straight away. I guess I have to see what kind of routine I fall into and how things go... I hope it all falls into place. :) Thanks again for your encouragement!

you will be ok. i think organisation will be the key. 8 months will go fast though. best wishes with your new home/school/daycare. Xx

Sounds like it will be hard work but totally worth it, you can do it just making sure you schedule time to get everything done will be key! Good luck :)
