Hi guys,

I hope admin don't mind me posting this here. I'm not trying to offend or upset anyone, but I just wanted to get the word out there, as myself and many new mums I've met would have loved to have done this had they heard about it sooner!

Just thought I'd post some info on donating breast milk to premature babies born before 32 weeks who can't receive formula. I am currently donating to my local milk bank but wish I'd known that this was even possible sooner!

At my local milk bank, your allowed to donate surplus breast milk when your babies are between 8 weeks and 6 months. They provide collection bottles and every time I've got 10 50ml bottles of milk, one of the blood bank bikers comes to my house and collects it.

These milk banks are always in need of donor milk but have no money for advertising so little is known about them.

It's a great thing to do if you can!
