Donor Question.

My wife and I recently had a beautiful daughter thanks to a friend who helped us out. The issue we are having is what to do if our daughter has questions about her father or the donor rather? Like is this something we should talk to him about now to see if he is okay with her asking questions down the line or should we wait til it comes up? Curious!

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR LITTLE ONE

I guess it's more difficult for you than us. We used a donor who we didn't know, and doesn't live near us. We agreed before hand that we would send updates and pics, but no contact until our little man is 16-18.

We will let him know from early on that he is a donor child. We will answer any questions he has honestly, within his understanding. I would speak to your donor to figure out what you will say to your daughter when she's older. Kids are curious so no doubt we will all have LOTS of questions lol.
