Well I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks back in oct. After the miscarriage had finished and i got a negative result on a pregnancy test (kept testing to make sure nothing was left behind) I then went on to having one period in november but then none in december. Found out I was pregnant again on new years eve. I am now roughly 6 weeks again so very nervous. I haven't had much in the way of symptoms the last 2/3 days. prior to that I had some mild nausea and slightly sore boobs, headaches etc. Now I've only had the tiniest amount of nausea when eating kinda like im feeling too nervous to eat and just feeling hugrey alot. Theres not much difference in how i felt when i was pregnant last time now apart from last time I was bleeding and spotting the entire time from when I got my bfp and even before then. This time round (touch wood it continues) I've had no spotting etc and missed my period properly. I had several bfp and the nurse also got a bfp when they tested me so got it confirmed as well. They are strong lines but can't relax as they were strong lines last time and meant nothing as i miscarried. Apart from the lack of bleeding this time round I just can't feel positive about this pregnancy working out unless i get some strong symptoms! argh! Got a appointment to see midwife at 8 weeks just wondering if i can even make it to then.

Does anyone have any positive outcomes...........symptoms then no symptoms but gone on to have sucessful pregnancy?

Hi hmm,

Yours sounds a very similar story to mine. We miscarried at 8 weeks in october having bled / spotted the whole time. I'm now only 5 weeks pregnant (found out on Thursday) and no bleeding spotting which I am counting as a positive sign (although I am constantly checking everytime I go to the loo). I have been feeling slightly crampy as well, but I did with Emily so trying not worry (is difficult though!)

When we miscarried, the nurse told us that we would be able to get an early scan if/when we found out we were pregnant again. Is it worth going to your docs now and asking to be referred to an EPAU just to put your mind at rest? I'm phoning docs for same thing tomorrow.

Fx hun. Keep us posted x

I bled for the first 24 weeks and symptoms came and went continually... the pregnancy and birth were not easy but so worth it when you hold your baby in your arms, see them look into your eyes, feed for the first time and hear them cry and even when you change their nappy. You'll get there...and there will be times when you think the worst but you need to keep reminding yourself of the end outcome and have faith that you will get through it!

I spent a large proportion of the pregnancy in and out of doctors and the hospital with various tests, checks and complications. In one sense it was totally reassuring in another a constant reminder how fragile my baby was...when I wasn't there I had a tendancy to try and act like I wasn't pregnant but still avoiding things that were bad for the pregnancy. You find a way to cope honey and you need to remember that even mothers that haven't lost a baby or have any complications worry like mad so in one sense it's totally normal! What I will say it that the hardest part was the first 12 weeks and each week you get through it gets a little easier I kept aiming for milestones and when you hit them it was sooooo reassuring...you hit 12 then 21, then 24, then 30, and then 37 weeks then 40 and before you know it your baby is in your arms!

You'll get there and at times it will be wonderful and at others it will be a long hard slog...but that end outcome is so worth it! Chin up sweetie...that little bubs is there and every pregnancy is different, when the symptoms aren't there it's just bubs giving you a rest from one of the physical symptoms of pregnancy!

Big Hugs! Xx

:hugs: it is so hard to stay positive - the symptoms do come and go and that doesn't help when you're faced with the waiting game that is early PAL pregnancy.

But there are lots of ladies on here have had loss of symptoms and everything turned out ok.

Hope this is your sticky bean
