don't know what to do...**UPDATE*** please read!

i woke up this morning to my back hurting WAYYY more than usual. my chest hurts also and every time i pee i get like a tiny twinge on my right side, as if its by my ovary kinda, and it sorta hurts but not bad enough to make me say ow!. what should i do?

I would go to the doctors and get tested for a UTI.
Really common in pregnancy, nothing to be worried about but if you do have one (which sounds like you could have) then its best to get it treated right away

Also, drink plenty of water in the mean time xx

When I had a water infection I had similar pains to what you described. Go and see a doctor just to be safe.

i called my OB. and the secretary said she would have my midwife call me back as she was in the room with a patient at the moment. so i have been laying in bed waiting for her to call back! its been a little over an hour though now =/

Definitely, definitely sounds like it could be an UTI. If it is, what concerns me is the back pain which is a sign its spread to your kidneys! Definitely get seen ASAP!

its now been one and a half hours so i called them back and said i wanted to know if my midwife was free because i was concerned about how bad my back pain has gotten and they told me that the message is on her desk and she is finishing up with a new patient and i should be called shortly. -__-.....sorry but when i went for my first thing it only took 45min. i know everyone is different but i want to know whats wrong =[

^ This. You don't want it to spread to your kidneys-- it can lead to other big issues! When I got a bladder infection (from the GD test) my doctor told me to drink a lot of water to help.

I hope you get to see your midwife soon! Hoping everything is ok & you feel better soon.

You know what love? You should go to the ER, seriously. When I had a UTI in December '09 I didn't think anything of it, I just thought I had to pee a lot, lol! But then it got worse and my back was on fire and I was in so much pain so I went to the ER and I had a severe kidney infection! They put me on meds right away and I felt so much better! Seriously though, if they don't call you back, go to the ER.

she finally called!! i called at 9:15 in the morning and she called back at 1:13 in the afternoon. its a good thing i wasn't dying or anything . Anyway!! i had just seen her the 13th of this month and on the phone shes like "oh your pregnant?" and im thinking to myself, you dumb bitch i was just in your office and your fingers were just touching my cervix! sorry but i was pissed due to waiting and my back pain. Anywayyy she had me come in to leave a urine sample that she was going to send off to the labs. but ladies my back hurts SOOOO bad. like i am in so much pain right now i almost want to cry. it hurts just like it did back in march/april when i went to the ER and found out i had mono!! and it had hurt cause of my spleen. i am thinking about asking my mom to bring me to the hospital but would that be silly?

Not silly at all! You have to think about your LO! I went to the ER when I was 17 weeks pregnant when my cat bit me! It's not silly, it's smart! Go!

If your back is hurting that much and its still hurting to pee then ask your mum to take you up to the hospital. You can never be too careful. It could be nothing, but it could be something.

this happened to me and i ended up in hospital, get there before your pain gets worse too, i had to be given pethadine just to sleep the pain was unbearable... drink cranberry juice too. hope you feel better soon and everythings ok

I have a severe kidney infection just now - because I just thought I had flu and left it so long before I went to the doctors they were considering hospitilizing me , putting me on a drip and monitoring bump for 48 hours. I have to go back on wednesday to see if i've improved and I was told by both my doctor and midwife that if I felt like I was getting worse to go to the A&E! The problems it can cause if it's left untreated for too long are really serious so I would just go to ER. Not to mention the pain - I can hardly walk just now although i'm steadily feeling a little better all the time from the antibiotics. I hope you feel better soon xxx

If you're still in pain, go to the ER! It's definitely not silly. When it comes to LOs you can never be too careful. There's no harm in just going to get cheched out. Good luck & feel better!

hey hunnie im due in april to i would go to the doctors bout try not to worrie about it to much its not good for you and baby x
