Don't know what to think

hi ladies,
I went to my first appointment today and I was pretty nervous and excited all day. The first day of my last period was 6/28/12, so I'm 6 weeks 5 days pregnant and the only thing visible was the sac. He said it was too early and I thought I was further along, but I was wrong. The doctor got some blood work and I should find out my hormone level tomorrow. He wants to get more blood work next week to see if the level has risen. I'm praying hoping it does.

Has this ever happened to anyone? What was your result?

Its too early to worry yet. Your LMP dating assumes that you ovulated on CD 14. A HB and baby are usually visible at 6 weeks or very soon after. However, if you ovulated on CD 19 or later (which is very possible, esp. if you have long cycles) that you would be right on track. Do you track your ovulation?

i wouldnt worry your lmp is just what the docs go off your probably only around 3-4 wks from conception! x

Yep that happened with DS, I can't remember my dates now but I think I was 6ish weeks by my LMP but when I got scanned they could only see the sac and they thought they could maybe see a pole but the lady wasn't sure. I wasn't as far along as my LMP put me. DS was fine

Is it possible you ovulated late and your dates are off? That's what happened to me. I knew I had ovulated late, but it still made me nervous when I had gone in at almost 7 weeks and didn't see a heartbeat. I was a nervous wreck for two weeks until I got to see the baby again and luckily everything was fine. It is very possible it was just too early

Yeah! You are probably about 2 weeks behind what you think you are. It is still early right now so you need to be taking care of yourself!
You got a positive pregnancy test so- you are indeed pregnant- no doubt about that.

Happened to me. I went in when I thought I was 6 weeks 1 day by my LMP and all that was seen was a empty sac. They drew my HCG levels and it went from 5800 to 17000 so they did a ultrasound two weeks later and saw baby with a strong heartbeat. On my second ultrasound it was determined I was 6 weeks 5 days so on the first ultrasound I wasn't even 5 weeks yet. Best of luck to you I am sure all is fine

Thanks ladies I feel a bit better now, but I will feel better when I see my baby My cycles have been irregular for the past 3 years so I wouldn't know when I ovulate, I never have kept track of it. I gained weight so I would get my cycle every 3 months or longer until recently since I started a diet program in March have been getting my period every month since then.

Found out great news today, my HCG levels doubled, im super happy! Nurse said it was a good thing, the results had just gotten in so the doctor hasnt gone over them so I wouldn't know how far along I am yet hopefully at my next appointment I will find out. For now im satisfied that my levels doubled puts me at ease.

Hi, I went for a scan at 6+5 but only measured 5+6. Apparently it's really common, you probably, like me just ovulated later in you cycle than normal. I was taking ovulation predictor tests, and they never showed a positive all month, but I must have ovulated :0)
