Hey all,

I'm going to keep this short n sweet as I hate thinking about it. I was induced on the Tuesday at42+1 at 8am with gel, had cramps all day but 6 hours later nothing happened so they repeated the gel. That night still nothing so I went to sleep. Around 3am my waters broke. Internals were horrible as baby's head came down about cervix so they had to try get past that to feel dilation. the epi but it didn't take on one side. The drip kept being turned up and god was that intense

After 30hrs they asked my husband to keep me in reality cause I was gone delirious, eventually my body stopped contracting and baby was stuck so they had to use vacuum.little boy born after 32 hours. My baby's wasn't breathing so he was rushed away on me, but he was fine just fluid in his windpipe. His arm was paralyzed for weeks from d vacuum n his head was sore.

I had a stitches in 3 different places and vowed to have a c section next time if there is a next time.

Sorry thus is not the joyous story that most people post but it was so far removed from my expectations :( but I'm ever so gratefull for my little boy. He is incredible.

I too had a ventouse delivery with my first labour and found it traumatic.

However just so you know for the future my second labour was a Completly positive experience and the postnatal recover alot easier. Don't think your next experience will be as traumatic.

Congratulations on your new arrival! Sorry for the difficult experience. :hugs:

My birth was traumatic too, hugs to you! Congrats x

A belated congratulations. I am sorry you had an unpleasant delivery. :hugs:

Sorry you had such a tough time, clearly bub wasn't ready to come. It's frustrating to see how interventions can cause so much trauma.
Congratulations on your little one, I hope you heal from your experience in time.
:hugs:
